International market spot quote converted to euros per gram at the ECB EUR/USD rate; the change is measured against the last LBMA fix before today’s session. Metal value, not an offer.
14k gold contains 585 parts per thousand of pure gold (58.5%). In Spain it is known as "oro de segunda ley" and carries the "585" hallmark. It is less common in jewellery made here, but very common in pieces bought or inherited from the United States, Germany, Portugal or Eastern Europe, where it is the standard.
With less gold, a gram of 14k is worth 58.5% of the pure-gold price and 78% of the 18k price. It is harder and more wear-resistant, which explains its use in everyday rings.
Value of the fine-gold content at today’s quote. This is the metal value, not an offer.
| Weight | Fine-gold value today |
|---|---|
| 1 g | €71.71 |
| 2 g | €143.42 |
| 5 g | €358.55 |
| 10 g | €717.10 |
| 20 g | €1,434.20 |
| 50 g | €3,585.49 |
| 100 g | €7,170.99 |
Each fineness is worth a fraction of the 24k price in proportion to its purity.
The reference price above is the market spot quote for 14k gold: what the metal is worth on the market, not an offer. When you sell a piece, what you are paid comes from three facts: the exact weight in grams, the real purity (which does not always match the hallmark) and the quote on the day it is valued.
At OroSeguro we weigh each piece on a calibrated scale, measure purity with a laboratory XRF spectrometer, apply the official quote of the day and send you a written offer with a piece-by-piece breakdown. No hidden margins or fees: if you decline, we return your items free and insured.
Real-time spot quote (refreshed every 5 minutes) converted to euros per gram with the ECB reference exchange rate. The official London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) fix is used as the fallback.
